This page explains where our information comes from, who checks it, how often we re-check it, how corrections work, how we use AI, and what we will never publish. It applies to every page on jeehelpcenter.com. All content is produced by the JEE Help Center Editorial Team, which is part of Gyaniversity Publications.

1. Sourcing: only the official portals are authority

For dates, fees, eligibility rules, seat-allotment procedure, document requirements and counselling schedules, the only sources we treat as authoritative are the official ones:

— JEE Main and NTA — jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.nic.in

— JEE Advanced — jeeadv.ac.in

— JoSAA counselling — josaa.nic.in

— CSAB special rounds — csab.nic.in

Where an official bulletin, brochure or business-rules PDF exists, we read the PDF rather than a summary, and link to it so you can read the same clause we did. Coaching blogs, aggregators and news reports are not authority. We read them — they are often where a question first surfaces — but nothing from them is published as settled fact.

2. How we mark confidence

Every significant factual claim carries one of three labels, visible on the page:

— Official — verified against an official portal or official PDF, with the date we checked it.

— Reported — consistent across secondary sources, but not yet confirmed against an official document. Useful, not final.

— Contested — sources actively disagree. We show the disagreement and resolve it.

We would rather publish a page that says "we do not know this yet" than one that guesses confidently.

3. Verification, and what happens when sources disagree

Before a factual page is published, an editor checks each claim against a primary source and records what was checked and when. Anything that cannot be confirmed is labelled as reported, or cut.

When sources contradict each other — and on JEE they frequently do, on the 75% criterion, on female supernumerary seats, on withdrawal consequences — we do not quietly pick the more popular answer. We publish the disagreement: what each source claims, who said it, and a link. Then we resolve it from the official document, name the document and the clause, and stamp the date we read it. If the official document does not settle it either, we say so and describe what to do in the meantime.

4. Review cadence and last-reviewed dates

Every page carries a visible last-verified date and the source it was checked against, and the same dates appear in the page's structured data.

— Counselling-season pages (JoSAA, CSAB, reporting, document verification, fees) are re-verified weekly through June, July and August, when dates move most.

— Evergreen pages (eligibility, exam pattern, syllabus, strategy, arithmetic) are reviewed at least twice a year, and immediately whenever an official notification changes something they describe.

We do not refresh a date to make a page look new. If the date on a page changed, something on that page changed.

5. Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us: hello@jeehelpcenter.com (operator fallback: gyaniversity.publications@gmail.com). Name the page and what looks wrong.

— We acknowledge every correction report within 3 working days.

— We check the claim against the official source.

— If we were wrong, we fix the page, note the correction on the page itself so you can see what changed and when, and add a dated entry to our public corrections log.

— If we cannot verify a disputed claim either way, we remove it rather than leave it standing.

Corrections are logged in public on purpose. A site that quietly edits its mistakes is asking you to trust something you cannot check.

6. How we use AI

Some drafts on this site are AI-assisted. We use AI to draft from official sources and to keep pace with a calendar that moves faster than a small team can track by hand.

What AI never does here is decide what is true. Every published page is read and edited by a human editor on the JEE Help Center Editorial Team, who checks every date, fee, rule and figure against the primary source before it goes live. AI output that cannot be verified is cut, not softened. AI is never the final authority on this site. We say this plainly because you are entitled to know how the page in front of you was made.

7. Independence, advertising and product recommendations

— This site may display advertising. Ads are labelled, kept separate from editorial content, and no advertiser sees or influences a page before it is published.

— Advertising revenue never decides what we write. No topic is added, dropped, softened or angled because of what it earns.

— The site's operator, Gyaniversity Publications, publishes study guides and other learning material. Where a page recommends one, the recommendation is clearly labelled as the operator's own product and placed after the substantive content. A recommendation never replaces an answer, and the facts on the page are written identically whether or not a product appears on it.

— We take no payment for coverage, placement, rankings, or a favourable mention of any coaching institute, college or service.

8. What we will never publish

— Leaked question papers, "confirmed" paper predictions, or anything claiming pre-exam access to an exam.

— Guaranteed-result, guaranteed-rank or guaranteed-admission claims, from us or anyone else.

— Paid-agent, seat-brokerage or admission-fixing services, including as advertising.

— Scraped solution dumps, or copied material republished without added value.

— Unverified figures presented as fact — vacancy counts, cutoffs, fee amounts and seat numbers stay labelled as reported until we have read them in an official document.

— Rank or college predictions without a stated error band, and any future date presented as confirmed when it has only been reported.

9. Not an official source

JEE Help Center is an independent, free student resource operated by Gyaniversity Publications. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), or any IIT, NIT, IIIT or GFTI. Official information is published only at jeemain.nta.nic.in, jeeadv.ac.in, josaa.nic.in and csab.nic.in. Always confirm dates, eligibility and fees against those sites before acting.
