JEE Main Admit Card: How to Download & What to Check
The JEE Main admit card is released on jeemain.nta.nic.in before each session — typically around two weeks before Session 1 (January) and around two weeks before Session 2 (April). You must carry it to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID.
Before the city intimation slip (released slightly earlier), NTA also shows your tentative exam city. The admit card then confirms your exact exam centre, date, and shift. Check every detail immediately after downloading.

- Open the official admit-card page — Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in when the card is active. Use the login credentials from your registration.
- Log in and download the PDF — Use your application number and date of birth or password to access and download the admit card.
- Check every detail — Verify your name, application number, exam date, shift timing, exam centre address, and photograph. Any discrepancy must be raised with NTA immediately through the official contact channel.
- Print and carry a physical copy — Print a clear, coloured copy. Many centres also require a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence, etc.).
Do not leave the admit card for exam morning: Download, check, and print the admit card at least 2–3 days before the exam. Discover and resolve discrepancies early. Always confirm on the official portal for the active download window.

What is the city intimation slip?
NTA releases a city intimation slip before the admit card. It confirms the approximate city for your exam centre so you can plan travel early. The actual centre details come only on the admit card.
Can I change my exam centre after the admit card is released?
No. Exam centres are fixed after the correction window. The only way to change a centre is through the correction window that NTA opens after registration closes — not after admit-card release.
