CSAB Special Round 2 Result Is Out: Your Final Deadlines
CSAB Special Round-II allotment is now available for 2026 candidates. If you participated in CSAB Special Rounds for vacant NIT+ seats, sign in to the official portal and check your allotment letter immediately. A fresh allottee must complete Institute Admission Fee-II payment and document upload by August 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM. If CSAB raises a document query, the response deadline is August 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Physical reporting at the allotted institute is scheduled during August 13–18, 2026, but the institute’s own reporting instructions control the exact day. ## What changed since our August 8 update
[OFFICIAL] Our August 8 post covered CSAB Special Rounds while Round-II processing was still ahead. CSAB has now added a notice stating that the DASA and CSAB Special Round-II Seat Allotment Result 2026 has been declared, with a live candidate-login link. The result is not checked through the JoSAA result page. Candidates must use the CSAB/DASA portal and log in with their JEE Main 2026 application number and password. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against csab.nic.in and the CSAB candidate portal. (csab.nic.in)
## Who is affected
[OFFICIAL] This update affects candidates who:
- registered for CSAB Special Rounds 2026 after the JoSAA NIT+ rounds; - received a seat in CSAB Special Round-II, including a candidate whose seat was upgraded; or - received a seat earlier and still has an active reporting or document-verification task.
It does not automatically apply to every JoSAA candidate. A JoSAA NIT+ candidate who paid the required Partial Admission Fee and did not participate in CSAB follows the JoSAA/institute physical-reporting instructions instead. JoSAA lists physical reporting for that group as August 13–18, 2026. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against josaa.nic.in. (josaa.nic.in)
## What you must do now
| Task | Official deadline or window | Who must do it | |---|---:|---| | Check Round-II allotment and download the allotment letter | Now; result declared on August 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM as scheduled | Every CSAB Special candidate | | Pay Institute Admission Fee-II, upload documents and complete online reporting | August 12–14, 2026, until 5:00 PM | Candidates with a CSAB allotment | | Respond to a document-verification query | August 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM | Only candidates whose dashboard shows a query | | Resolve an eligible payment issue | August 17, 2026, by 5:00 PM | Candidates who made a payment attempt before the deadline but could not complete it | | Physical reporting and balance-fee payment | Tentatively August 13–18, 2026 | Candidates whose seats are confirmed through CSAB Special |
[OFFICIAL] First, log in through the Official CSAB candidate portal. Save the allotment letter, payment receipt, uploaded-document list and any message from the Document Verifying Officer. Then open the website of the allotted institute and check its reporting notice, fee instructions, hostel information and class-commencement date. CSAB’s schedule says the institute’s actual physical-reporting dates should be checked separately. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against the official CSAB schedule. (cdnbbsr.s3waas.gov.in)
## What goes wrong here
[OFFICIAL] The most dangerous mistake is assuming that an allotment letter alone confirms admission. CSAB’s process requires online reporting, fee payment and document verification. If a document discrepancy is raised, you must resubmit the corrected document or answer the query inside the portal. CSAB states that candidates who do not respond to a verification query within the scheduled period can be treated as “Not Reported”, and their allotted seat can be cancelled. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against csab.nic.in. (csab.nic.in)
Do not rely only on an email, a screenshot or a coaching-site timetable. The controlling record is the candidate dashboard and the official CSAB schedule. If payment appears deducted but the portal does not show success, keep the transaction reference, do not make random duplicate payments, and use the portal’s payment-issue process before the stated resolution deadline. A payment attempt is not the same as completed payment unless CSAB records it under the candidate login. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against the CSAB schedule. (cdnbbsr.s3waas.gov.in)
## The decision students must make
If you are satisfied with the CSAB seat, complete every reporting step and prepare for physical admission. If you are considering a state or private-college option instead, check that route’s cancellation and refund rules before surrendering the CSAB seat. Do not assume that leaving the CSAB portal untouched preserves the seat. Missing a payment, failing to answer a query or not reporting can end the allotment without a later appeal being guaranteed.
[OFFICIAL] CSAB Special Rounds are separate from JoSAA: registration, choice filling, allotment, fee payment and verification follow CSAB’s own process. Official CSAB information page should be your primary reference for the final stage of 2026 NIT+ admission. OFFICIAL — checked August 16, 2026, against csab.nic.in. (csab.nic.in)
