JEE Help Center is a free help resource for JEE Main and JEE Advanced aspirants, droppers, and the families who sit through JoSAA and CSAB counselling alongside them. Everything here is free to read: no login, no sign-up, no paywall, no email address.

Why this site exists

JEE Help Center exists for the decision-level part of the JEE journey. We publish the decision questions: what to do at your rank, not only when the round opens. Whether to Float or Freeze at your rank. What recovery is left when your OBC-NCL certificate is rejected at verification. Which of the two contradictory answers about the 75% rule is the one the IITs actually apply. We publish decision logic, failure-mode recovery, and arbitrated answers to contested questions — each one dated, each one traced to the official PDF it came from. We are free, we do not gate anything behind an email address, and we do not sell counselling.

The problems we set out to solve

— CSAB registration does not carry over from JoSAA. A fresh registration is compulsory. Students lose the chance every year by assuming it is automatic, and nothing tells them why.

— Category certificates get rejected three ways — wrong issue date, a state OBC list instead of the Central List, or the state format instead of the Central Government format. We publish the document checklist and, for each of those three rejection reasons, what recovery is still open once the rejection has already happened.

— The 75% rule conflates two things: whether you may sit the exam, and whether you may be admitted. Well-ranked sites carry "removed for IIT admissions" and "75% aggregate required" inside the same page. Somebody has to read the brochure and settle it.

— Home-state quota follows the state where you first appeared for Class XII — not domicile, not birthplace, not where your parents live. A wrong State Code of Eligibility can cost a home-state NIT seat.

— Float, Freeze and Slide need a decision, not just a definition. Can Float leave you worse off? What if nothing upgrades? We publish a decision framework for each of the three choices, with the conditions under which each one makes sense.

— Percentile is not rank. In the 95–98 percentile band a few raw marks can move you thousands of places, so we show the arithmetic that turns a percentile into an approximate rank.

— Withdrawal, SAF and PAF run on two rulebooks — one for the IITs, one for the NIT+ system — with separately extendable deadlines. Missing one cancels a seat you already won.

— The improvement exam has a timing trap — the July result lands after JoSAA closes, and covers only one subject.

— Fee remission for low-income families is close to invisible — exactly backwards for the students it was written for.

— Missing JoSAA and CSAB does not end a B.Tech. State counselling and separate-exam routes stay open, and their deadlines overlap the CSAB window. We map both tracks against the same calendar so the overlap is visible before it costs you a seat.

What this site does not do

— We are not NTA, JoSAA, CSAB, or any IIT or NIT, and we cannot act for them. We cannot process a registration, correct your form, release a result, allot a seat, or intervene in document verification.

— We do not sell exam access, counselling, admission assistance, or seats, and we carry no institute advertising.

— We do not run email gates, gated PDF downloads, or "register to see your rank" walls.

— We do not publish a college predictor presented as authoritative. Where we publish rank and percentile arithmetic, we publish the anchor data, its year, and its error band.

— We do not publish a phone number and we do not run a WhatsApp funnel.

How our content is produced and checked

Every page is written or edited by the JEE Help Center Editorial Team. Dates, fees, eligibility rules and counselling procedure are checked against the official portals — jeemain.nta.nic.in, jeeadv.ac.in, josaa.nic.in and csab.nic.in — and each page records when it was last verified and against which source. Claims we cannot confirm officially are labelled as reported, not presented as settled. Where sources disagree, we show the disagreement and resolve it from the official document. Some drafts are AI-assisted; no page is published without a human editor checking it against the primary source. The full process is on our Editorial Policy page.

Who operates this site

JEE Help Center is operated by Gyaniversity Publications, an Indian educational publisher. Naming the operator is deliberate. A student acting on our page about withdrawal deadlines is risking a year of their life, and is entitled to know which organisation is accountable and who has to fix it when it is wrong. Corrections, complaints and legal notices all reach the same operator, at the email addresses on our Contact page.

Commercial disclosure

Gyaniversity Publications also publishes study guides and other learning material. Where a page recommends one, the recommendation is clearly labelled as the operator's own product and sits below the substantive content. Recommendations never change what we report as fact: a deadline, a fee or an eligibility rule is written the same way whether or not a book appears on the page.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB), or any IIT, NIT, IIIT or GFTI.
